How to write a good email subject line

    1. Say what the email is about. "Budget question" beats "Hi".
    2. Add the action or deadline if there is one: "Approval needed by Friday".
    3. Keep it under about 50 characters so it isn't cut off on phones.
    4. Put the important words first.
    5. Skip ALL CAPS, multiple exclamation marks and spammy words.
